Heather Barrington (Optometrist) Retiring

We are sadly saying goodbye to one of our long standing optometrists Heather Barrington on Friday 31st March.  After 16 years of brightening our days with her sunny disposition Heather is retiring early to dedicate more of her time to the church and her family.  She will be greatly missed by staff and patients alike and we wish her all the best.

COVID-19 Update – Sept. 2022

‘The government has now removed all domestic legal restrictions regarding Covid-19 in England.

New guidance for opticians recommends that the decision to wear a face mask should be risk assessed, depending on the proximity to the patient and amount of time spent with the patient.  This means that our staff will continue to wear masks in some situations, but we no longer require you to do so.

If you would prefer all staff to wear a face mask while you are in the practice for your appointment we are happy to do so if you request it.

We continue to follow the strict NHS guidelines for cleaning and sanitising surfaces and equipment, and offer hand sanitiser throughout the practice.’

Sue Christensen’s Retirement Lunch

In July the A J Rawling’s team wished a fond farewell to a well respected colleague Sue Christensen who had worked at the practice for many years.  We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Le Talbooth with the current team, our new optometrists Thanusha Moodliar and Susan Thomson, and the previous owner of the practice Chris Sims, who all wish her a very happy retirement.
